Despite showing a lot of potential, he never quite managed to get a run in the senior side, and only went to start five league games for los Xeneize.

Nevertheless, the player displayed his amazin…

Inter want PSG defender; Gaitan’s release clause to stay unchanged

Inter want PSG defender

Inter Milan are considering a move for Paris Saint-Germain full-back Gregory van der Wiel, .

It is no secret that Roberto Mancini is far from happy with his current options at right-back that include Davide Santon, Danilo D Ambrosio and Martin Montoya.

And with at least two of them set to leave in January, the Nerazzurri have set their sights on PSG full-back Gregory van der Wiel.

The Netherlands international is growing increasingly frustrated by the lack of first team action seeing that he currently plays second fiddle to Serge Aurier.

Taking also into account that his current deal expires at the end of the season, a January exit appears on the cards.

Inter have reportedly contacted the player s agent Mino Raiola…

Barcelona v BATE: Bravo stakes claim for permanent spot

Claudio Bravo has admitted he is unhappy with Barcelona s goalkeeper rotation policy as the Champions League holders prepare to face BATE on Wednesday.

Luis Enrique favoured the Chile international in La Liga last season but reserved the European matches for Germany s Marc-Andre ter Stegen, and he has continued the same system in 2015-16.

Ter Stegen, however, came under fire for conceding goals against both Roma and Bayer Leverkusen and has already conceded 17 times from nine games in all competitions so far this season one more than he let in during the whole of last term.

Barca kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 win away to Getafe on Saturday with Bravo in goal and the former Real Sociedad man is now pushing to keep his place in continental competition.

Defending FA Cup winners Arsenal have been pitted against Sunderland in the third round, while Premier League leaders Leicester City will face Tottenham.

Arsenal are looking to win the competition for the third straight year having followed up their 3-2 extra-time win over Hull City in 2014 by beating Aston Villa 4-0 last season.

And Arsene Wenger s men will be expected to get their campaign off to a winning start against a Sunderland side the London club defeated 3-1 in the Premier League last Saturday.

Lazio 0 Roma 0: 10-man hosts earn Derby della Capitale draw

Edin Dzeko hit the crossbar with a stoppage-time header as Roma missed a chance to leapfrog 10-man Lazio in the Serie A table with a 0-0 derby draw at Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.

One of the heroes of Roma s midweek Champions League comeback against Barcelona, Dzeko was instead frustrated on this occasion as the Giallorossi failed to capitalise on Stefan Radu s 80th-minute sending off.

Romania defender Radu was dismissed for a second yellow, seemingly opening the door to Roma to secure a win that would have taken them ahead of their third-placed city rivals.

But they were instead made to be content with a result that moves them a point clear of fifth-placed Inter Milan, who drew 0-0 at Atalanta on Saturday, in the race for Champions League qualification.

Liverpool are through to the EFL Cup semi-finals after edging Leicester City 5-4 in a penalty shootout having overturned a two-goal deficit in a gripping 3-3 draw.

Caoimhin Kelleher saved two Leicester penalties before Diogo Jota – a key figure off the bench – converted the crucial kick to send Jurgen Klopp s much-changed Reds through.

A Vardy brace had initially put the visitors 2-0 up early on at Anfield, and although Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain got Liverpool on the scoreboard, a spectacular Maddison strike had Leicester cruising at the break.

But half-time substitute Jota reduced the deficit again after the hour and Takumi Minamino equalised deep into stoppage time to force a shootout.

Minamino was the sole Red to miss his kick, but it mattered not as …
